Transformation at Nowports:
My Role as a Product Designer
At Nowports, as a UX/Product Designer, I played a key role during a pivotal moment: the company’s consolidation as a unicorn. My work focused on optimizing processes, designing impactful experiences, and creating solutions that not only addressed immediate challenges but also prepared the platform for the future.

Tackling a Critical Challenge: Redesigning Sales Quotations
One of the most significant projects was identifying a critical issue with the quotation PDFs sent to clients. Through user interviews and data analysis, I discovered that these documents were rarely used. Sales agents improvised, creating Excel sheets or text messages to communicate information, revealing that the PDFs were ineffective and unintuitive.

I proposed a structural redesign backed by benchmarks from competitors, user interviews, and direct client feedback. After internal iterations and client testing, I delivered a document redesign that achieved a 98% readability score, ensuring the proposals were clear, engaging, and practical. This change transformed sales communication, improving both internal workflows and the client experience.

Another key challenge was creating the interface for Fast Quotes, a vital tool in the freight forwarding industry. Users needed to handle large volumes of data: multiple quotes, routes, segments, and container types. I designed a visually intuitive interface where information was organized for clarity and ease of use. This enabled users to generate quotes quickly, a critical factor in staying competitive in the market.
RESULT
Agile Collaboration and Iterative Methodologies
My role involved constant interaction with cross-functional teams, working under agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban. I participated in daily stand-ups, sprints, and retrospectives, ensuring the design aligned with technical and business objectives. I presented proposals in review sessions using interactive prototypes built in Figma, supported by insights from documented research.
Building a Scalable Design Library
I played an active role in developing and maintaining Nowports’ design system. This included solid guidelines: typography, spacing, colors, and usage rules. This system streamlined design and development processes, ensuring consistency and scalability for the platform.
